    The establishment of Alexandria University back to the year 1938, as it was founded in Alexandria, the colleges of Arts and rights and affiliated to Fouad the first university (Cairo University), then became an independent University by the Royal Decree No. 32 of 1942, which provides the establishment of the University of "Farouk I" in Alexandria, then it was adjusted the name of the University from "Farouk the first" University "of Alexandria" after the revolution of July 1952.
