Tanta Univresity

Tanta University was founded as an independent university in 1972 by the Presidential Decree No. 49 of 1972 on the establishment of the University of "Central Delta" and then another Republican Decree was issued the Resolution No. 54 of 1973 which provides the amendment of its name from University of "central Delta" to the University of "Tanta", but the establishment of Tanta University, back to 1962 with the establishment of the branch of Faculty of Medicine of Alexandria in Tanta city, and in 1970, when a Republican Decree issuedproviding the establishment of a branch of Alexandria University in Tanta including then 4 faculties medicine, science commerce and teachers.
