Faculty of Engineering was established in 1955 under the name of higher Institute of industrial teachers in Heliopolise, and the duration of the study was five consecutive years only one month each year as a summer vacation is given, and among these years a training year in Germany . 1958 - 1959 the headquarter was moved to helwan and acceptance of the first batch in the five-year system normal and included the study of eight months training in Germany . 1961 the headquarters of the Institute has transferred to Matarya and the development of the curriculum to be equal to what is taught at the Faculty Of Engineering . In 1965 the name was changed to the high Institute of industrial University in Cairo . 1967 College of industrial teacher was established and the system of the industrial gradually was filttered . 1971 the product developed and the name of the College was changed into the Faculty of technology and education . 1975 helwan University was established and added the Faculty of technology and education . 1976 was the adoption of the word from the Supreme Council of universities under the name of the College of technology Matarya and deleted the material of education and supported materials of engineering, and became the name of the "College of engineering and technology" then the name was changed to "College of Engineering Matarya" .1958 - 1959 the headquarters moved on to helwan and acceptance of the first batch in the five-year system normal and included the study of eight months training in Germany .

1971 the development of the product and change the name of the College into the Faculty of technology and education .
1975 established the helwan University and with the Faculty of technology and education .
1976 was the adoption of the word from the Supreme Council of universities under the name College of technology batr and delete the material educational and support materials engineering, and became the name of the "College of engineering and technology" and changed the name to "College of Engineering patr" .
